Obituary

Douglas Michael "Mike" Andrews, age 66, passed away on May 3, 2023, at Oklahoma City, OK. Mike was born on February 7, 1957, in Woodward, OK, to James Irvin Andrews and Betty Jo Andrews. He grew up in Vici, OK, and Tulsa, OK, where he attended Vici Elementary School until the 5th grade. He then attended school in Tulsa, OK, from 6th through 9th grade before returning to Vici to complete his high school education. He graduated from Vici High School in 1975.

On November 20, 1982, Mike married Jennifer Kay Williams at the Vici Christian Church. The couple was blessed with two children, Timothy and Tabetha. Mike lived in Vici most of his life and was loved and respected by the community. He worked in the oilfield and construction industry and also served as a plant operator at Iochem. He and his wife Jennifer had an in-home daycare for many years. He loved his littles and loved watching them grow. Mike loved hunting, carpentry, and spending time with his grandkids.

Mike served in the United States Navy as a E3 Seaman from December 29, 1975, until December 10, 1979. He was proud of his service to his country and always spoke fondly of his time in the Navy. Mike was a member of the Vici Christian Church and lived his life by Christian values.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, James Andrews; mother, Betty Andrews; son, Timothy Matthews; grandfather, Orville Cleveland; grandmother, Myrtle Cleveland; grandfather, William Irvin Andrews; grandmother, Maud Gracena (Hemstreet) Andrews; Uncle Gib and Aunt Neet; and cousin, Dempsey Ramsey.

Mike is survived by his wife, Jennifer Andrews of Vici; daughter, Tabetha Worsencroft and husband Brad of Vici; grandson Tristan DeVon and wife Briannon of Weatherford, OK; granddaughter, Tatum Matthews of Weatherford; grandson, Timothy Worsencroft of Vici; great-granddaughter, Brynlee Carey of Weatherford; sister, Mechelle Andrews; sister, Megan Paddock and husband Geoff; brother, Monte Andrews and wife Denise; niece, Rachel Paddock; nephew, Will Paddock; nephew, Joseph Thompson; nephew, Jacob Thompson and wife Tommi; nephew, Tanner Andrews and wife Chloe; nephew, Tucker Andrews and wife Amanda; aunt and uncle Vernon and Anita Peck, as well as many friends and loved ones.

M ike will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, tall tales and his long-winded jokes. His absence will be felt deeply by all those who knew him, but his legacy will continue to inspire and touch the lives of many. Rest in peace, PaPa, you will be missed.

The meal for Andrews family has been moved to the Vici Chamber Community Building. (Lunch is at Noon)
