Doyle Dodson Castor was born October 28, 1935 to Lorraine and Erma (Davis) Castor at Vici, Oklahoma. He departed this life on June 12, 2007 at his home in Vici at the age of 71 years, 7 months, 15 days. Doyle attended all 12 years of school at Vici graduating in 1954. He went on to attend Okmulgee Tech. in Okmulgee, Oklahoma where he graduated in April of 1956 with a degree in diesel mechanics.
Doyle was united in marriage to Donna Marie Greenfield of Drumright, Oklahoma on November 14, 1959 at Drumright. They were happily married for 47 years and were blessed with 3 children, Randy Doyle, Raymond Lee and LaNita Dawn. After marriage, Doyle and Donna made their home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for a short time. They moved various places including Drumright, Oklahoma, Sapulpa, Oklahoma, before their final move to Vici, Oklahoma in June of 1974.
Doyle was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn on September 28, 1958 at Wichita, Kansas by Bro. Harvey Corter. Doyle was ordained an elder at Vici, Oklahoma on November 29, 1983.
Doyle was always a hard worker and was always busy doing something. He was an auto mechanic before retiring in 1994. Throughout his career as a mechanic he received several special awards and was manager of JC Penney Auto Center while living in Sapulpa. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, going out in the boat and camping. He also had a special talent and loved to make wood crafts which were enjoyed by many. Doyle had many talents and there wasn't much he could not do.
Doyle was preceded in death by his father Lorraine Castor, 1 brother, Von Castor and 1 granddaughter, Cassidy Paige Castor. He is survived by his wife, Donna of the home; his mother, Erma Castor of Vici; by 2 sons, Randy and wife Becky of Vici and Raymond and wife Stephanie of Oklahoma City; 1 daughter, LaNita and husband Hardy of Arapaho, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren, Robert, Colby, Randall, Trystynn and Colton Castor of Vici, Riley and Erica Castor of Oklahoma City, Austin, Jodi and Kellie Hamm of Arapaho; 2 brothers, Herbert and wife Sherry of Enid, Oklahoma and Jerry and wife Lily of Enid; 2 sisters, Mary Grace and husband Everett of Vicksburg, Mississippi and Beverly Steele and husband Lee of Enid; 1 special aunt, Leone Thompson of Vici and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, brethren and friends. Doyle was greatly loved and will be missed by all.
