Edna attended grade school at the Fairview and Highland Country School north of Shattuck, Oklahoma, and graduated from Shattuck High School in 1939.
On January 29, 1941, Edna was united in marriage to Orin Redelsperger in Arnett, Oklahoma. Orin and Edna made their home in the Follett, Texas area. To this union was born one son, Robert (Bob) Jacob on November 6, 1942.
Edna and Orin were baptized together into the Seventh Day Adventist Church in 1947. Edna enjoyed serving in the Shattuck SDA church as a deaconess and was active in the Church School that was started in the 1940's. They enjoyed attending church social on Saturday night with friends and family.
Edna devoted her time through the years beside Orin on the farm cooking, gardening, handwork, and assisting with farming tasks. She loved keeping her grandchildren in the summer. She would take the train to California to bring the grandchildren to Texas. When they were old enough to drive they took her place in the field during harvest where they made many memories of family gatherings whether it was childhood memories, swimming at the Gage Swimming Pool, boating at Fort Supply Lake, or Sabbath dinners at her parent's home. Edna and Orin also enjoyed traveling and created many fond memories with family and friends as they took fishing and sightseeing trips.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents Jacob and Mary Herber; her husband Orin; her brothers, Jake, Alex, Adam, Paul, and George; one sister Esther; and a grandson Brent.
