Services will be held on January 30, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Shattuck, Oklahoma with interment in Gage Memorial Cemetery, Gage, Oklahoma.

Edris Jeanene (Griffith) Burke was born December 17, 1946 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Hezekiah and Beulah (Fessler) Griffith. Throughout her childhood they lived in Fargo and also on the Welding gang where they actually lived in the box cars, before making their home in Shattuck in 1956. Edris graduated high school at Shattuck and went to drafting school in Oklahoma City following her graduation.

On January 18, 1968 she was married to Russ Burke. From that union they had three daughters and made their home in Springfield, Colorado where they raised their daughters. In 1994 after the divorce, Edris moved to Liberal, Kansas where she attended college for two years. In 1996 she moved to Shattuck to take care of her parents.

Edris enjoyed her time with friends and family but her heart and passion was focused on her grandkids. She would schedule around their games and activities. Her highlights were always spent with the kids.

Edris passed away Tuesday January 27, 2015 at her home in Shattuck surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hezekiah and Beulah Griffith, and one grandson, Lealen Bennett.

Survivors include her daughters, Julie Neal of Fountain Colorado and her children, Rachel Moore and Latosha Bennett. Her twin daughters, Ann Getzelman of Shattuck and her children Jacob and Katelyn Schwartz, Jan Dunham of Shattuck and her children Payton and Page Dunham; six great-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
