Edwin Braxton Wagnon was born February 24, 1914 at Lonebell, Ellis County, Oklahoma to Birt E. and Ida Alta (Inselman) Wagnon. He passed peacefully from this life on February 8, 2008 at the age of 93 years, 11 months, and 15 days.

Edwin was raised on a farm southeast of Arnett, Oklahoma. He attended school until the eighth grade at Eddie School.

Edwin was a rancher all of his life. He enjoyed raising and working his Hereford cattle. He could be seen going down the highway with his single horse trailer in tow headed for a rodeo. He enjoyed watching, and participating in, the roping events. Edwin was a fine fiddle player and was asked to entertain at many local events.

Edwin became a resident of the Vici Nursing Home in January, 2001. He always appreciated the good care he received from the staff and the special attention they provided him. He especially enjoyed their cooking!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Birt Wagnon and Ida Wagnon-Laney. He is survived by numerous cousins and many, many friends.
