Elton White, 73, passed from this life to his eternal home Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born October 24, 1948, near Vici, Oklahoma, to Alvin and Marjorie (Shaw) White. He was the fourth of nine children.

Elton grew up in the Vici Nazarene Church, Vici, Oklahoma. He served his Lord through his many prayers for others. He would always tell his family he was praying for them. He enjoyed giving to those around him.

Elton grew up in the Vici Community. Elton worked with his dad and brothers in the family business of welding and putting up windmills. He helped work the family farm east of Vici. He also worked summers for area farmers in the Mutual area during his high school years. Elton attended all 12 years in the Vici School System and graduated from Vici High School in 1966. After high school he attended Bethany Nazarene College. He later joined the Navy, serving his country in San Diego, CA, Bremerton, WA, and on the USS Samuel Gompers as a Maintenance Engineer. He received the National Defense Service Medal. After his stint in the Navy, Elton attended Oscar Rose College in Oklahoma City. He was a carpenter and helped with the construction of several large buildings in the Oklahoma City area.

Elton married Joyce Leap in 1975. To this union one son, Ryan William White was born.

Elton is survived by his son Ryan White of Salt Lake City, Utah; Ryan's mother Joyce White; siblings Lenard White (Barbara), Ruthelma Hunter (Eliot), Gordon White (Donna), Shirlene Oakes (John) all of Oklahoma, Carolyn Thiessen (Charles) of Colorado, Lelan White of California; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Marjorie White, brother Mendall White and sister Marveta Brindle.
