Emmit L. Feil

Emmit Lee Feil, a longtime resident of Fargo, Oklahoma, passed away on March 18, 2026, at the age of 82.

He was born on April 26, 1943, in Shattuck, Oklahoma, to Sam A. and Marie Rosina (Fritzler) Feil. Emmit was raised in the Fargo community and attended grade school in Tangier, Oklahoma. He later graduated from Fargo High School, completing his formal education.

On April 12, 1974, Emmit was united in marriage to Norma Lee Wilcoxson in Gage, Oklahoma. They made their home in Fargo, where they were active members of the community and attended the Methodist Church. Their union was blessed with a son, Jeffrey Ray.

Emmit dedicated over twenty years of service as a mental health aide with the Department of Mental Health at Fort Supply, Oklahoma, before his retirement. He was known for his strong work ethic and caring nature.

In his free time, Emmit enjoyed watching Oklahoma City Thunder basketball games and had a lifelong love of the outdoors. He cherished hunting and camping trips and rarely passed up an opportunity to go fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Marie Feil; his beloved wife, Norma Feil; his sister, Jeannetta Walker; and other loved ones.

Emmit is survived by his son, Jeff Feil and wife Candace of Comanche, Oklahoma; his brother, Vernon Feil of Andover, Kansas; his three grandsons, Jon Feil of Fargo, Oklahoma, Ryan Feil of Duncan, Oklahoma, and Logan Feil of Mustang, Oklahoma; four great-grandchildren; his brother-in-law, Billie Walker of Fargo, Oklahoma; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his quiet strength, and the many friendships he formed throughout his life.
