Erma Mae Davis Castor, daughter of Jesse Lee Davis and Esther Waggoner Davis was born at Mulhall, Oklahoma on September 10, 1912 and passed from this life on December 9, 2007 at the age of 95 years, 2 months, and 29 days.
Erma received her education in the schools of Covington, Seminole and, later graduated from, Vici High School with the class of 1931. Soon after graduation she moved with her parents to Enid, Oklahoma.
On November 13, 1934 Erma was united in marriage to Wilbur Lorraine Castor at Woodward, Oklahoma. Their home was later established south of Vici where they lived for a number of years and where they were blessed with six children. Erma worked several years at Western State Hospital and about 8 years in the old Woodward Junior High School. She enjoyed nature, traveling, gardening, quilting, and researching family genealogy as hobbies. Erma made her commitment of faith and became a member of the Church of the Firstborn in 1964.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lorraine; two sons, Doyle and Von; two grandbabies; her parents, Jesse and Esther Davis; and brother, Elmer Davis.
She is survived by her children, Mary Grace Dickson and husband Everett of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Herb Castor and wife Sherry, Jerry Castor and wife Lillie, and Beverly Steele and husband Lee all of Enid, Oklahoma; two daughters-in-law, Donna Castor of Vici, Oklahoma and Rosa Castor of Enid, Oklahoma; 17 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; one sister, Leona Thompson of Vici, Oklahoma; many nephews, nieces, brethren, and friends.
She was a loving wife, mother, special grandmother, helpful neighbor and friend.
