Erma Lucille Peck, 78-year-old Arnett resident, passed from this life on March 9, 2009 at Newman Memorial Hospital in Shattuck, Oklahoma.

Erma was born on September 29, 1930 in Shattuck, Oklahoma, to Levi and Esther (Sloan) Hixson. She was raised in Arnett, Oklahoma, graduating from Arnett Public Schools.

Erma married Claudie Edwin Peck on May 4, 1953, in Arnett, Oklahoma. This union was blessed with fifty wonderful years together and three children, Janet Lynn, Connie Jean, and Donna Kay. The family lived in Arnett, Harmon, Camargo, and Enid, before returning to Arnett.

Erma worked as a bank teller, bookkeeper, and loved being a homemaker, taking care of her family. She espically enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed dancing, embroidery, drawing, reading, and being with family. Erma was baptized at 78 years of age. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Arnett.

Erma was preceded in death by her husband Claudie Peck, daughter Janet Peck and parents Levi and Esther Hixson.

She is survived by daughters Connie Scott of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Donna West and husband Todd of Arnett, Oklahoma; sister Velma Koontz and husband Les of Fort Worth, Texas; 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
