Eula Sue Christian-Clem, 79 year old resident of Yukon, Oklahoma, passed from this life on February 25, 2014, at her home. Sue was born on April 11, 1934 in Elmore City, Oklahoma, to Elmer Theodore and Alice Mae (Pickens) Priest. The family lived in Elmore City, where Sue attended grade school and graduated as the valedictorian of her class in 1952.
On May 9, 1950, Sue married Edgar Christian in Gainsville, Texas. Two children blessed this union, Lawana Sue and Kenny Don. The family made their home in Oklahoma City. On March 9, 1985, she married Floyd Clem in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Sue was an officer for the Federal Reserve Bank where she worked for 32 years. While working for the Federal Reserve Bank she was the first woman assistant manager, the first woman department manager, and the second woman officer of the Federal Reserve system nationwide. On January 1, 1988, she became the Vice-President of Operations and remained in that position until she retired. Sue was a member of the 25 Year Club of the Federal Reserve and a member of the Robertson Senior Citizens Center.
Sue was an accomplished seamstress and could whip up any project anyone requested of her. She enjoyed traveling, going to many destinations including Alaska, Hawaii and Seattle, Washington.
Sue was raised and baptized in the Pentecostal Church. Later in life, she attended the First Christian Church of Yukon.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Alice Mae Priest, both husbands Edgar Christian and Floyd Clem, brothers Anthony and Ted Priest and a sister Eunice Duncan.
Sue is survived by her daughter Lawana Boyd of Yukon, Oklahoma; son Kenny Christian of Edmond, OK; two sisters, Wanice Turner of Tulsa, OK, and Lawana Jones of Lake Charles, LA; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; other family, and a host of friends.
