Eula Juanita Matthews was born south of Arnett, Oklahoma on September 27, 1927 to George Nelson and Pearl Apple Matthews. She passed from this life on February 7, 2012 at the age of 84.
Juanita attended the Little Turkey country school and then attended Arnett High School, graduating with the Class of 1945. She completed several correspondence courses receiving a Junior Accounting Degree from Hill's Business University of Oklahoma City.
On June 7, 1944 she married Carl Richard Barnes. To this union were born a stillborn son, Jimmie Lee, son, Nelson Carl and daughter, Linda Carol.
In September, 1947 Juanita married Francis Nuttall, to this union son, Gary Price, was born.
Juanita worked for a period of time at the Ellis County Abstract office in Arnett. She lived in several different areas but mostly resided at Woodward, Oklahoma. She worked for Woodward Building and Loan Association, The Western Company of North America at Woodward and also at their regional offices in Corpus Christi, Texas and Oklahoma City for a time. She later worked for Bob Selman Dirt Construction Company.
She was preceded in death by her first son, Jimmie Lee on December 15, 1944, son Nelson Carl Barnes on December 23, 1988, parents, George and Pearl Matthews, and brother, Kenneth Matthews. She is survived by daughter, Linda Fox and husband John of Yukon, Oklahoma, son Gary Nuttall and wife Linda Sue of Lufin, Texas, granddaughter Robbin Gilbreath, grandson Michael Gilbreath, grandson Jonathan Nuttall and granddaughter, Annie Nuttall; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Brittany and Devin; sister, Thelma Collar of Portland, Oregon, several other family members and a host of friends.
She will be missed by all her family, friends, and acquaintances.
