Long time Vici resident, Fern June (Shrum) Kellner passed from this life on August 18, 2010 just 3 days after her 79th birthday. The daughter of Clarence and Sarah (Littlejohn) Shrum, she was born 9-1/4 miles east of Camargo, OK. Her early years were spent living on a farm southeast of Camargo after her mother remarried to Roy D. Tuck. In 1937 the family moved to southwest Colorado. Upon their return to Oklahoma, in 1945, the family moved to a farm a few miles east of Camargo.

Fern attended grade school while living in Fairview, Colorado. Her high school years were spent attending the Camargo School, graduating with the Class of 1949.

Fern was united in marriage on July 25, 1950 to Mr. Robert Joe Kellner. The ceremony took place at Taloga, Oklahoma. Their family quickly grew with the birth of their four children, Robert Lynn, Gary Alan, Ernest Wayne, and Sandra Ann.

Fern and Robert made their home in Oklahoma City for a number of years with the exception of two short moves to Colorado.

Fern was a loving and devoted mother who gave her children all she could and made sure they got a good high school education. She enjoyed being creative and made many of her own clothes as well as her children's. She also liked to crochet and do embroidery work. Her other interests included canning and taking care of her flowers.

In 1965 Fern and the children moved to Vici, Oklahoma where she continued to live until the time of her death. In July, 1975 she took a job with the Fruit of the Loom factory, west of Woodward, and worked there for 6 years until its closing. In 1981 she went to work at the Vici Restaurant and worked for 4 years until her failing health forced her to retire.

Fern faithfully attended the Vici Church of the Nazarene as long as her health permitted.

She is preceded in death by her father, Clarence Shrum; mother and step-father, Sarah and Roy Tuck; brothers, Daniel Tuck and Keith Tuck; and granddaughter, Leslie Brooke Miller. Family survivors include children, Robert Kellner and wife Nhung of Dell City, OK, Gary Kellner and wife Thong of Yukon, OK, Ernest Kellner and friend Sylvia Smith of Vici, OK, and Sandra Miller and husband Mark of Vici, OK; brothers, Lee Roy Tuck of Utah, Joe E. Tuck of Woodward, OK, and Don E. Tuck of Colorado; three grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other family and a life time of friends.
