Frances Emily (Hamar) Gorrell was born May 27, 1918 to Francis Hamar and Emily (Combs) Hamar in Taloga, Oklahoma. Frances attended grade school at Lone Pine and Graduated from Taloga High School.
Frances married Edward Loran Gorrell in Taloga, Oklahoma in February of 1935. Their union was blessed with three children, Paulina, Leon, and Sharon. Frances lived various places including Kansas, New Mexico, and Texas before returning to Oklahoma in 1976 and moving to Clinton. Frances became a resident of Grace Living Center in September of 2002, and loved playing the piano and singing for the other residents there; Frances remained living there until her passing. Frances lived a very meaningful life as a full time homemaker, and mother to her children.
Frances had a passion for playing the piano, studying her bible, her flowers and house plants, and playing dominoes. At and early age she accepted the Lord into her life and was baptized at the First Christian Church of Taloga, which her father helped found. She thoroughly enjoyed her time spent playing piano and singing at the church.
