Frank Joseph Goodman was born July 10, 1937 in Vici, Oklahoma to Lorin and Thelma (Grothe) Goodman. Frank departed this life on August 21. 2011 surrounded by family and friends.
Frank was a member of The General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn. He enjoyed the fellowship of the brethren and singing and making melody in his heart.
Frank and Loretta (Lori) McCracken were married on December 24, 1959. Frank served his country during the Cuban missile crisis in an Army MASH unit in Ft. Hood, Texas.
They were blessed with a daughter, Janeen Kae and son, Ricky Lynn. They lived in Oklahoma City when the children were born but soon moved to Seiling, Oklahoma to make their home and return to their small town roots. Frank supported his family through many occupations and business ventures. He was ambitious, hardworking and loved to be a help to any one in need.
Frank enjoyed water skiing, golf and horseback riding (especially the yearly trip to Colorado for a few days of "roughing it"). The cabin in Colorado was a peaceful retreat and he and Lori extended their hospitality to many friends and family.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Lori; grand-daughter Jenny Lynn Laird; brother Ercell Goodman, sister Arveta Turner; sisters-in-law Nancy McCracken and Jean Goodman; brothers-in-law Lester Arnold, Carl Ellis, Charles Jones and LeeRoy Houston.
He is survived by his kids Janeen and Gary Laird of Vici, Oklahoma and Rick and Deanna Goodman of Meno, Oklahoma. His grandchildren, the joy of his life, Jessica Ann, Blake Curt, and Zachery Dale Goodman; Kason Justus and Cloe Jo Laird; his sisters Deloris Arnold, Donna Ellis, Norma Jones and Luella Morris and husband Freddie; his brother Lonnie Goodman and wife Jann; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends, including Bessie the cow.
