Freda Pauline Thompson was born May 2, 1925 south of Vici, Oklahoma to Chester C. and Susie Cox Thompson. She gently passed from this life at her home in Woodward on May 13, 2007 at the age of 80.
Freda's school years were spent in the Vici Public School system. She was united in marriage to Denver Dennett in Woodward on June 8, 1943. Their marriage was blessed with the birth of their daughter, Fonda Carrol. Freda's lifetime was spent living in the Vici and Woodward area. She was baptized on March 14, 1979, and was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She worked as a domestic housekeeper until her retirement in 1995. She enjoyed spending her leisure time reading and sewing and had a special fondness for nature. She had a great interest in her family and friends.
Freda was preceded in death by her parents, Chet and Susie Thompson; by her daughter, Fonda; by grandson, Rance; and by three brothers. She is survived by her precious granddaughter, Susan Miranda; by her pride and joy great-grandson, Pollex; by several nieces, nephews, and cousins; by a special sister-in-law, Leone; and by many friends.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, May 16, 2007 in Vassar Cemetery under the direction of Shaw Funeral Home, Vici, Oklahoma
