Gail Lynn Poulson passed from this life on September 5, 2008 at her home in Vici, Oklahoma.
On October 5, 1953, Marvin C. & D. Ruth (Pittser) Criswell, and their daughter Brenda, welcomed a baby girl—Gail Lynn—to their family. Gail was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, and lived in Holdenville, Morris and then Sperry, where she began her education attending through third grade. Fourth through twelfth grades were completed in Moore Public Schools in 1971. Gail attended dental assistant courses through vocational education after graduation, and worked for several years at Haggar Slacks in Oklahoma City until her marriage.

In November of 1972 Gail requested baptism at the hand of Brother L.V. Graham at Church of the First Born in Oklahoma City and remained active throughout her life. Throughout her young adult live, Gail enjoyed activities and traveling to visit church friends in several states. On July 4, 1975, at Del City, OK, with a small group of family and friends present, Gail wed Lee Don Poulson in a ceremony performed by Brother Mike Tomlinson. As Gail and Brenda's father had died early in their childhood, a dear family friend, Brother Harley Holman, happily escorted Gail down the aisle. In January, 1976, Lee Don and Gail moved from their first residence in Moore, Oklahoma to live the remainder of their marriage in Vici, Oklahoma. To this union, five children were born: Jason Dean, Jeremy Don, Jessica Lynn, Jedediah Robert and Jeff Criswell. Mostly, Gail was a full time wife and mother. For several years, she was also a loyal caregiver. She loved being with her family, cooking, taking care of people in need and quilting.

Family preceding Gail in their journey to an eternal reward are her parents Marvin and Ruth Criswell, her older infant sister, Judy, her beloved granddaughter Kendra Paige Poulson, her father and mother-in-law, Don and Evelyn Poulson, and two nieces, Lora and Rebecca Poulson.

Survivors who remain to cherish Gail's life and memory include her husband, Lee Don Poulson, son and wife Jason and Tiffany Poulson, son and wife Jeremy and Trisha Poulson, daughter and husband, Jessica and Cliff Coleman, son Jeff Poulson--all of Vici, Oklahoma, son and wife Jed and Laci Poulson of Grand Junction, Colorado; sister and husband, Brenda and Jimmy Etti-Williams of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Keegan Poulson, Landon & Cameron Coleman, Abigail Poulson all of Vici, Oklahoma, and Hailey Poulson of Grand Junction, Colorado; brother-in-law and wife, Darell and Liz Poulson of Vici; sister-in-law and husband, Recia and Michael Garcia of Woodward, Oklahoma, brother-in-law and wife, Kevin and Blanca Poulson of Arapaho, Oklahoma; nieces Sonya and husband Justin Morris, and Rachel and husband Jeff McGeehee, all of Vici, Oklahoma; nephews Daniel Etti-Williams of Dallas, Texas, and Jacob Gomez, and Donovan and Alexis Poulson of Arapaho, Oklahoma. Aunts, Fern Humphries of Moore, Oklahoma, and Wanda Sanders and Sue Latham of Oklahoma City, and many cousins and friends.

Gail's memorial service will be held at the Vici Church of the Firstborn, officiated by Elders, Melvin Boedecker and Freddie Morris. Casket bearers are sons, Jason, Jeremy, Jed and Jeff Poulson, son-in-law, Cliff Coleman, and brother-in-law, Kevin Poulson. Honorary Casket Bearers are cousin, Curtis Wilkey, brother-in-laws Jimmy Etti-Williams, Michael Garcia and Darell Poulson, and David Tidmore, personal friend. Gail's final resting-place will be Sunnyside Cemetery, near her granddaughter. Services are under the direction of Shaw Funeral Home of Vici and condolences may be made at shawfuneralhome.net. A memorial has been set up at the funeral home for the Chamber Christmas tree.
