Gary Lynn Altland, 64 year old resident of Vici, OK, passed on November 12, 2021.  Gary was born January 14, 1957 to Gene and Marge (Lingenfelter) Altland in Woodward, OK.  He attended Vici Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1975.  Gary then attended the Oklahoma Panhandle State University for two years.

On April 9, 1979, Gary married Charlotte Diane Evans in Guymon, OK.  To this union, three children were born Gibone, Teresa, and Charlotte.  Gary resided in many places after his marriage which included Panhandle, TX, Springdale, AR, Vici, OK, Guymon, OK, and Elkhart, KS.  He worked as a meatcutter at Iowa Beef in Amarillo, TX and as a truck driver until he retired.  Afterwards he worked on rebuilding and selling pallets through his business Altland Pallet and Salvage.  Gary was a member of the Vici United Methodist Church, where he participated in stewardship.  Gary was active in the Masonic Lodge, Vici FFA, and Vici Basketball.  He was a member of the Vici Board of Trustees.  Gary enjoyed hunting, dancing, leatherwork, spending time with family on his off time while trucking, and stamp and coin collecting.

Gary was preceded in death by parents Gene and Marge Altland, paternal grandparents George and Coralea Altland, maternal grandparents Clara and Ruel Lingenfelter, Aunt Mary Rose, Aunt Julia Browers, Aunt Donna Jackson, Uncle Roger Jackson, Uncle Rod Lingenfelter, and Uncle Tade Lingenfelter.

He is survived by his wife Diane Altland of Elkhart, KS; son Gibone Altland of Vici, OK; daughters Teresa Altland of Elkhart, KS and Charlotte Altland of Elkhart, KS; brother David Altland and wife Sheila of Weatherford, OK; four grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
