Gary Lynn Hussey, of Vici, Oklahoma, passed away at his home on May 29, 2025, at the age of 67. Born June 5, 1957, in San Diego, California, to Lyndol Chadwick and Yvonne Charleen (Royer) Hussey, Gary spent his early years in California, where he was lovingly known as one of the "prune pickers."

From a young age, Gary demonstrated a strong spirit and determination. While in high school, he became the only sophomore at the time to letter in football—a distinction that reflected both his dedication and natural athleticism. Around the age of 13, Gary was baptized at the United Pentecostal Church, Revival Tabernacle, in San Diego, CA.

Gary had two sons, Brian Phillip Passfume and Gary Lynn Hussey, Jr. A carpenter by trade, Gary also worked as a glazer and in floor coverings. But to those who knew him best, he was much more than his job titles—he was a true jack of all trades, a man with a gift for fixing, building, and doing just about anything he put his mind to.

He found great joy in the outdoors, often hunting and fishing when time allowed. One of his passions was horseback riding—a pastime that brought him peace and a sense of freedom. He wished to own his own horse, and when he was about 15, that wish was granted.

Another passion of Gary's was music, which began at a very young age. In his pre-teen years, he taught himself how to play guitar, and he played a trumpet in his middle school band.

Gary is survived by his parents, Lyndol Hussey and Yvonne Hussey; his sons, Brian Passafume and Gary Hussey, Jr.; his brothers, Gregory David Hussey and Mark Daniel Hussey; and his sister, Char Lyn Faus and her husband Max David. He is also remembered by three aunts, one uncle, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of cherished friends and loved ones.

Gary's legacy of hard work, love of the outdoors, and generous spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
