George Dwayne Berry passed from this life on November 12, 2012 at the age of 74. He was the son of George and Wanetta (Gilmer) Berry, born on October 1, 1938 in Taloga, OK.

George began his school years in a "soddy" school and then went to Putnam. He graduated from Taloga Public Schools in 1956. On September 16, 1959 he married Carolyn Calico in Huntsville, AR and they had four daughters, Sherry, Cindy, Vickie, and Georgi and one son Jeff. They made their home in Taloga, OK where George worked in construction, custom combining and later in the 80's worked in the oilfield. He enjoyed ranching and farming. In George's free time he loved quail hunting, riding horses, playing dominos, and solitaire. He also loved to country western dance.

George was preceded in death by his parents George and Wanetta Berry, and sister Norma Lee Sehi. He is survived by daughters, Sherry Thompson and husband Fred, of Yukon OK; Cindy Farris, of Leedey OK; Vickie King and husband Stacy, of Putnam OK; Georgi Retter and husband Eric, of Yukon OK; son, Jeff Berry, of Putnam OK; two nephews, Wesley Sehi and Randy Sehi; ten grandchildren, Rikki Thomas, Nikki Fortenberry, Cody Thomas, Evan Lee, Tanner Farris, Melissa White, Katie Retter, Kollin Retter, Julie Day, Jeffery Day; two great-grandchildren, Deja Fortenberry and Jaden Fortenberry, other family and a host of friends.
