Thayes Glendena (Smith) Blosser, daughter of Marion and Cecile (Moss) Smith was born at the home of her parents southeast of Vici, OK. on January 17, 1923. She passed from this life on March 22, 2020 at the age of 97 at Vici, OK.
Glendena or 'Deanie' as she was affectionately known to much of her family, lost her mother early in her life. She grew up living with her father in Colorado and her grandparents and aunts in Oklahoma. She began school in Colorado and completed her education at Okeene, OK., graduating with the class of 1940. She was united in marriage to Robert Jones and three sons, Gerald (Jerry), Robert (Bob) and Charles were born to their union. She later married Woodrow (Woodie) Blosser and welcomed his two sons, Kenny and Ronnie as her own. Woodie and Glendena were blessed with a son, Randy and two daughters, Glenda and JB. Along with her duties of wife, mother and homemaker, Glendena was known in the community as the 'Tupperware Lady'. With a strong work ethic and determination, she had a successful career spanning over 40 years in Tupperware sales and management.
Glendena was baptized at a young age and attended the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn. She was a faithful servant to her Heavenly Father and a kind and loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She was an avid reader, music lover and oil painter and enjoyed playing board games, dominoes and cards. She made sure each grandchild learned to play Skip-Bo at an early age. She loved to travel and made many memories on trips to Australia, Mexico, Canada, Europe and across the United States.
Glendena was proud of her children and grandchildren and supported them in their endeavors, she was a gentle spirit whose love and strength were clear to all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Cecile Smith, her stepmother, Blanche Smith, her husbands Robert Jones and Woodie Blosser, two sons, Jerry and Charles Jones and daughter in laws, Norma and Sue Jones. Her stepsons, Ronnie and Kenny Blosser, two sisters and two brothers, brothers in law, Tom Martin and Dennis Hanson, three grandchildren, Shelly Jones Curtis, Boyd Jones, and Jeremy Palmer and three great grandchildren.
Her memory is cherished by her sons, Bob and wife Charlotte Jones of Fairmont, OK. and Randy Blosser of Douglas, OK., her two daughters, Glenda Blosser of Woodward, OK. and JB and husband Marshall Bittner of Vici, OK. Two sisters, Lorraine (Beth) Smith Hanson of Taos, N.M, and Nila Martin of Longdale, OK., 16 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren 9 great great grandchildren, two nieces and nephews, two daughters in law, a host of other family and friends.
