Harlow Nigel Parry was born on November 12, 1944 in Vici, OK, to Nigel Elmo and Lois Pearl (Cunningham) Parry, he passed from this life on August 15, 2024, at the age of 79. Harlow grew up on the family farm and attended Vici Public Schools graduating with the Class of 1962. He pursued further education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK. earning a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics in 1966.

On May 28, 1967, Harlow married the love of his life, Barbara 'Babs' Arlene Lenhart in the First Christian Church in Vici, OK.   In 1969, Harlow enlisted in the United States Navy, proudly serving his country until his honorable discharge in 1973.  Harlow and Babs shared many adventures moving to Turpin, Fargo, Tyrone, and Gage, OK; Jacksonville, FL. and  Oceania, VA before returning to their roots in Vici, OK. They were blessed with three sons, Matt, Scott, and Joe.

Harlow's career was as varied as his interests. He taught at Fargo Public Schools, worked at the Oklahoma State Employment office, and later became a lease operator in the oilfield industry. He was active in the Vici community, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge #465, served as the Mayor of Vici at one point and as the town's dog catcher. He also penned words of wisdom in his weekly column 'By The Creek' in the local newspaper for a number of years.

He loved his family and especially enjoyed attending the school events and bragging on his grandchildren and their accomplishments. Outdoors was his favorite place to be, fishing and hunting were longtime favorites and caring for his Charolais cattle created excitement as his motto was "the wilder, the better." Harlow was a socialite, he enjoyed visiting, his quick wit and dry sense of humor brought smiles to many faces and will be missed by all who knew him.

Harlow is preceded in death by his parents, Nigel and Lois Parry; his beloved wife, Babs; brothers, Don Parry and his wife Bonnie, and Tom Parry; a dear friend and brother-in-law, Sonny Bateman and other family and friends.  He is survived by his sons: Matt Parry and his wife Cindy, Scott Parry and his wife Ranae and Joe Parry. His special grandchildren, Livi Parry and her fiancé Jake Johnson, Madeline Parry, Emily Parry, Jill Parry and Cori Parry. He is also survived by his siblings: Jerry Parry and his wife Marvale, Lonnie Parry and his wife Linda, and Beverly Bateman; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, other relatives and friends who will hold his memory close to their hearts.
