H azel Dorene Baldwin Cox, daughter of Chesney and Opal Baldwin, born October 25, 1935 and departed from this life July 16, 2024 surrounded by family.

Dorene was born near Harmon, Oklahoma and grew up with her sisters, Leola and Doris. Dorene attended Pleasant Valley School from first through sixth grades near Harmon and graduated from Arnett High School in 1953.

Dorene attended Crown Heights Baptist Church in Woodward where she received her baptism and accepted the Lord as her Savior on June 17, 1973.

Dorene was a mother of two children, Cindy and Robert. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1991 with 37 years of service. She was excited to receive the Perfect Attendance Reward while working there along with multiple gifts at retirement.  After retirement she moved to Vici to be near her daughter and family.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Dorene had a special love for each grandchild and great grandchild.  She never missed a sporting event, livestock show, award ceremony, or anything that involved her family. Dorene received Fan of the Year for the 1999-2000 Vici School Year. Dorene visited the Vici School frequently and was known for her homemade Christmas candy she took annually for school Christmas parties.

Dorene is preceded in death by her parents, Chesney and Opal Baldwin, son - Robert Allen Cox, sisters – Leola Gaston & Doris Rushing, brother-in-laws – Curtis Rushing & Donald Gaston, lifelong friend – Linda Cash.

Dorene is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Russell Arnold of Vici, Grandchildren – Brandon and Tara Arnold of Sharon, Misty and Craig Randolph of Camargo, and Allison and Gary Speed of Gilmer, TX. Great Grandchildren, Rylee, Reagan, and Ryann Arnold; Miah Moore and Stella Randolph; and Scout Speed. She is survived by other relatives and many friends.
