Helen "Nene" Louise (Lynes) Kennedy, 84-year-old resident of Vici, Oklahoma, passed away from this life to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, December 15, 2023, at her home. Helen was born November 7, 1939, in Vici to her parents Claud Alvin and Irene Vernie (Harris) Lynes.

Helen attended Vici Public Schools for 12 years with perfect attendance all 12 years and was valedictorian of the Class of '57.

On February 7, 1958, Helen married the love of her life, Alvin Gary Kennedy at the First Christian Church in Vici, Oklahoma. From this union were born three children- daughter Annette Louise, son Brent Alvin, and daughter Cindy Renee.

Once becoming a grandmother, her grandson Beau named her "Nene." She was known as "Nene" by all from then on. She was just as dedicated to her grandchildren as she was to Gary, Annette, Brent, and Cindy.

Helen gave her whole life to her family. She gave them a home and life full of love, joy, hope and support.

Helen will be greatly missed, but her legacy will live on forever.

Helen supported Gary throughout his career and retirement. She loved reading, cooking, jigsaw puzzles, sewing and crafts, but most importantly her family.

Helen was a member of both the First Christian Churches of Guymon and Vici. Helen was baptized in 1960 at the Guymon First Christian Church.

Helen is precedecd in death by her husband, Gary; parents, Claud and Irene Lynes; father and mother-in-law Alvin and Lola Kennedy; siblings, Berta Marie, Alvin Leroy, Jessie Melvin, Bill Charles, and Gladyse Elaine.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Annette Kennedy of Oklahoma City; son Brent Kennedy and wife Jodell of Taloga; daughter Cindy Griffin of Vici; grandson Beau Griffin and wife Christa; granddaughter Lauren Hesler and husband Aaron; grandson Jason Kennedy; granddaughter Jennifer Simons and husband Greg; granddaughter Jana Kozy; granddaughter Jessica Fuentes; great-grandchildren Kirra, Jaxyn and Emmet Griffin; Felicity, Arivyne, and Savannah Simons and Jordan Embry; great-great grandchildren Jackson Flataue and Declan Hayes Embry; sister Ila Rose Fothergill and husband Jim; brother Dennis Gale Lynes and wife Carolyn; brother Larry Ross and wife Arlinda; sister-in-law Ann Lynes; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of other loved ones and friends.
