Obituary

Helen Mae King, daughter of Floyd W. and Audrey I. (Long) Robertson was born in Leedey, Oklahoma on September 23, 1936 and passed from this life in Tulsa, Oklahoma on April 14, 2013 at the age of 76. Helen was raised in Leedey, Oklahoma attending Leedey Public Schools. She graduated from Leedey High School then attended two years of College in Virginia.

In 1965 Helen married Len King in Dallas, Texas. The couple made their home in Knotts Island, Virginia. They enjoyed observing wildlife on the Bay and were known for fishing, crab boils and getting the community together. After Len's passing, Helen moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma in 2001 to be closer to family.

Helen was a technical writer and worked on classified military programs for the U.S. and Allied Navies. She loved painting, needlework, quilting, reading and fishing in her spare time.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Len King, parents, Floyd and Audrey Robertson. Helen is survived by sister Linda Jameson and husband Larry Fritz of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; nephew Mike Clark and wife Kim of Taloga, Oklahoma; niece Jade McGlothlin and husband Monte of Edmond, Oklahoma; great-nephew Parker McGlothlin of Edmond, Oklahoma; aunt Jessie Kauk, other family and a host of friends.
