Loy Henry Peer was born April 27, 1944 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to John and Margaret (Schoenhals) Peer. He passed from this life on February 8, 2011 at his home in Gage, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years.

Henry attended Gage High School where he graduated with the class of 1962. In school he was active in both basketball and baseball.

Henry was united in marriage to Phillis Miller on October 22, 1962 in Clayton, New Mexico. To this union three daughters were born Tonya, Johnna, and Nicole.

Henry had many jobs over the years including farming, soil farming, pipe line, seismograph and hay hauling. He enjoyed playing dominoes at Arnett and playing pitch and hanging out with friends at Charlie's. He enjoyed watching both OU and OSU football and the western channel; he was a big John Wayne fan. Henry was a faithful friend and helper to anyone in need. He loved his daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Henry is preceded in death by his parents John and Margaret Peer, and father in-law John Miller.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years Phillis Peer; three daughters, Tonya LeAnn Morris and husband John of Tuttle, OK, Johnna Sue Chapman and husband Jim of Mustang, OK, and Nicole Lynn Hicks of Arnett, OK; seven grandchildren, MaRanda Harp and husband Steve of Tuttle, OK, Abby Hardesty and husband Byron of Tuttle, OK, Adam and Alisha Chapman both of Tuttle, OK, Amanda, Cortney and Bailey New all of Arnett, OK; three great-grandchildren, Isaac Hardesty, Raylee Killman and Allison Hardesty who was born February 7, 2011 and never got to meet her great-grandpa. He is also survived by brother, J.D. Peer and wife Nancy of Mustang, OK; 2 sisters, Marlene Christopherson and husband Bob of Bogetta, TX, and Mary Crow and husband Gary of Gage, OK; nieces and nephews, Joel Peer, Jessica Hesseltime, Jennifer Combs, Clay and Riley Christopherson, Christi Dipple, Shelly Miller, special nephew, Donnie Crow and great niece Kodi Crow; mother in-law, Ethel Miller of Shattuck, OK and brother in-law, Larry Miller and wife Majorie of Gage, OK; aunts, Betty Schoenhals and Esther Schoenhals; numerous Schoenhals cousin and many friends.
