Funeral services will be Tuesday October 27 at 10:30am at the First Baptist Church in Shattuck, with interment following at the Shattuck Memorial Cemetery.

Ida L. South Fritzler a 93 year old resident of Shattuck, Oklahoma passed away in the Shattuck Nursing Home on October 22, 2015. Ida was born December 20, 1921 to Fred and Ida (Koch) Littau on the family farm north of Lipscomb, Texas in Lipscomb County, where she lived and attended a country school until third grade. The family then moved to Darrouzett, Texas were she continued her schooling. In 1940 Ida married Corbett South and they worked for different ranches along the Canadian river west of Canadian, Texas until his death in 1954.
Ida then worked as a nurse's aide in a clinic at Sanford Hospital in Perryton, Texas and it was there that she met Raymond Fritzler. Raymond and Ida were married on June 28, 1959 and she moved to his family farm southwest of Shattuck. Ida had many hobbies. She loved to go camping and fishing with Raymond. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed oil painting, gardening and sewing. Ida also enjoyed helping Raymond on the farm doing whatever he needed help with. Although never having children of their own, Raymond and Ida focused their love on each other, their nieces and nephews, beloved pets, and their extended family and friends.
Ida was baptized into the First Baptist Church of Spearman, TX on April 21, 1950. And after she and Raymond were married in 1959 she was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Shattuck.
Ida is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Fritzler; parents Fred and Ida Littau; brothers Fred, Richard, George, and John; sisters Leah Shick, Emma Woods, Kate Reiswig, Pauline Schultz, Rachel Sutton and Mary Littau; sister-in-laws, Virginia Herbel, Elsie Bayless and husband Glenn; parents-in-law Adam and Lydia Fritzler.
Ida is survived by brother Harold Littau and wife Shirley; sister Esther Roth and husband Raymond Roth; brother-in-law Eugene Herbal and wife Lena;
Ida leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who have been blessed by her love, support and encouragement through the years. She will be remembered for her loving smile and tender words.
