Imadene Lea (Stanton) Primrose, youngest daughter of Lewis Bennett Stanton & Lena Myrtle (Williams) Stanton, was born July 14, 1927 at Putnam, Oklahoma. She began her rest in heavenly peace on November 26, 2018.
Imadene started her schooling at Putnam, Oklahoma and graduated there with the class of 1945. After high school she attended Southwestern Oklahoma State College where she took 2 years of business courses.
She then began her employment years with the Dewey County Clerk, followed by the Oklahoma Department of Welfare, Eddie S. Collier, Attorney-At-Law, and lastly, retired in 1989 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, ASCS Office.
On April 16, 1959, in Watonga, Oklahoma she married William Farris (Buck) Primrose to whom she was a loving and dedicated wife. They made their first home in Seiling, Oklahoma, later moving to Taloga, Oklahoma. She was a dearly beloved and devoted mother to Holley, who was born to this union in 1961. She lovingly worked and supported her husband, Buck, in his Oil Lease Service and Taloga Cafe, as bookkeeper and in any way that was needed. In 1987 she lovingly included Brian McMellian into her family as her son-in-law. She and Brian developed a special bond in 1990 while she was undergoing cancer treatment. He could be her only visitor during her time of treatment as Holley was due to have her first child and could not be exposed to radiation. In 1991 her grandson, Skylar was born and in 2001, her granddaughter, Krisondra was born, both blessed with a very proud and loving grandmother. They were treasures to her, as she to them.
After retiring, Imadene enjoyed touring the United States on several trips with her dear friends. She always loved to read. She enjoyed working in her yard, watching the OKC Thunder and writing in her journal all the amusing things her grandchildren would say.
She had a beautiful singing voice, and as a young girl, she sang beside her father in the Putnam United Methodist Church as song leaders.
Imadene was a member of the Taloga United Methodist Church until it's closing. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women. She then attended the Lenora United Methodist Church and Taloga Christian Church in her last years residing in Taloga. While residing in Texas she attended St. Peter's United Methodist Church of Katy, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lewis & Myrtle Stanton, husband, Buck Primrose, sister, Lavene Rawson, & brother-in-law Clyde Rawson, nephew Bob Jones, great niece Penny Jones, and other dear brother in-laws and sister in-laws and relatives.
