Ina Mae Gillispie Wayland was born July 25, 1925 to Rolin Virgil and Pearl Fluitt at their home in Booker, Texas. She passed from this life, while a resident in the Vici Nursing Home, on July 26, 2007 at the age of 82 years and 1 day.
Ina Mae attended school at Perryton, Texas graduating with the Senior Class of 1945. Ina Mae was baptized at a young age and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Arnett, Oklahoma.
Ina Mae Fluitt married Benjamin Franklin Gillispie on December 26, 1948 at Stinnett, Texas. Their marriage was blessed with the birth of their four children, Ray, Frank, Ben Earl and Sylvia Mae.
Ina Mae and Ben lived in Spearman, Texas before moving to the ranch at Harmon, Oklahoma where they raised their family. They later moved into Arnett where they built their new home. Ina Mae enjoyed quilting, going to Bible studies, cooking for the church and especially spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
After Ben's death in December, 1989 Ina Mae married Harold Wayland on April 7, 1995 in Arnett, Oklahoma. Ina Mae and Harold enjoyed their companionship with each other for several years before Harold became a resident of the Shattuck Nursing Center and Ina Mae a resident of the Vici Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Franklin Gillispie; her parents, Rolin Virgil and Pearl Fluitt; and an infant brother, Dale Virgil Fluitt; by brothers-in-law John Gillispie and wife Kathy, Jack Gillispie and wife Faye, Wilson McCloy, and Earl Henderson.
Ina Mae is survived by her husband, Harold Wayland of the Shattuck Nursing Center; by her children, Ray Gillispie of Harmon, OK; Frank Gillispie of Arnett, OK and by his children, Levi and wife Amy, Nichole and husband Ronnie, Hattie and Tyson; Ben Earl Gillispie of Harmon, OK; Sylvia Mae Head and husband Bob of Woodward, OK and her children, Traver Deweese and wife Amanda, and Alisha Mae Hutt and husband Mark; by sister, Virginia Trindle and husband John of Spearman, TX; by brother, Wayne Fluitt and wife Margaret of Booker, TX; by 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild; by sisters-in-law, Nan McCloy, Nell Henderson, and Sue McCloy and husband Thane; by several nieces, nephews, other family and many, many, friends.
