Irvin Leon Cook "Gramps" was born April 30, 1941 to Perry Ellsworth and Dora Mae (Pugh) Cook.  He was the youngest of 8 siblings.  He attended school in Waynoka Ok.  In 1960, he moved to Gage, Ok and this is where he met and married Shirley Harbour.  To this union two children were born.  Rodney Alan and Misty Dawn.  He worked for Woods Dairy for a time.  He was also the Town of Gage city cop, an EMT, a volunteer fireman, and worked at Napa Automotive in Woodward for many years.  He was a very good mechanic and enjoyed tinkering with lawnmowers and such.

Irvin enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking and spending time with his grandchildren.  He loved watching them play sports.  Everyone in town knew him as "Gramps".  Anytime someone needed him he would stop whatever he was doing to go help them.  He was well loved by all and will be truly missed.

Irvin pass away on February 28, 2023 with his family by his side.

He is preceded in death by his father Perry, and mother Dora, his son Rodney, 4 brothers Perry, Larry, Claudie and Jim, 3 sisters Alma, Maxine and Betty and son-in-law Jesse Pratt

He is survived by his daughter Misty Bandy and husband Mike of Gage Ok, one sister Mary of Edmond Ok.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Rick, Desiree, and Stephen of Gage Ok, Jennifer and husband Robert of Enid, Great grandchildren, Jocelyn and Brooklyn of Henderson Colorado, Katelyn, Jesse, Brylee, Emeree, Kenny, Clovis and Tripp of Gage Ok, Questa and Kye of Woodward Ok, Treyton of Enid Ok, step granddaughter Jennifer and husband Brandon, step great granddaughters Lacy, Chrisann, and Zaryn, and great great grandson Asher, all of Elk City Ok, and many other relatives and friends.
