Iva Lee Jennings, 53 years old, was born August 24, 1958 in Delta, Colorado to Norma Lee (Boyd) Morris and John Elmer Morris. She passed from this life with her family at her bedside on March 31, 2012. Iva's early years were spent growing up in Delta and Grand Junction, Colorado until she moved to Vici, Oklahoma. She attended Palisade Public Schools while in Colorado.
Iva was united in marriage to Rick Jennings on August 22, 1987 at the Church of the Firstborn in Vici. The couple had five children; Sheri, Matthew Dwayne, Sarah Emily, Mikahla Lee, and Ann. The family made their home in Welling, Oklahoma from 1987 through 1989 then moved to Grand Junction for the summer before returning to Welling. In January of 2008, the family made the move to Vici, Oklahoma.
Iva had several interesting jobs but her favorite was working in the fabric shop and working on sewing machines. She was very creative and had a real passion for sewing. She also enjoyed doing all kinds of crafts. Iva was a member of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn and was baptized on May 1, 1974. She was active in Secret Sisters and T.O.P.S.
Family members preceding her in death are her parents, infant daughter, Sheri; son, Matthew; daughter, Ann; step-mother, Marian Morris; and sisters-in-law, Rhonda Morris and Elaine Morris.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Rick; daughters, Emily and her fiancé Brian Smith of Vici, Oklahoma and Indianapolis, Indiana, respectively; Mikahla and her boyfriend Tyler of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brothers, Gordon Morris, Merl Morris and wife Linda of Grand Junction, Colorado, Nolan Morris and wife Marline of Palisade, Colorado, and John Morris and wife Tracy of Vici, Oklahoma; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
She was a woman of great faith, selfless, full of joy, and enjoyed life to the fullest. Her greatest joy came from serving God and caring for her children.
