Jack Ellsworth McCartor of Arnett, Oklahoma passed from this life in his home January 23, 2018 with his loving wife Norma Lea and son Mac at his side. He was born on the family farm on November 15, 1928 the youngest of three children of Collin Ball McCartor and Myrtle Blanche (Howe).
Jack was a 1947 graduate of Arnett High and married his High School sweet heart Norma Lea Wiedenkofer on November 15, 1948 and made their home on his parent's home farm west of Arnett, his other great love, he was a true farmer but also loved to play basketball. To this union two children were born Mac Ellsworth and Norene Lea.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Frances Koch and Cleta Mitchell, grandson Nevin McCartor, and Great Grandson Hayden Stewart.
He is survived by wife Norma Lea; son Mac and wife Stacy; daughter Norene Lucas and partner Lynn Seal; grandchildren Nacrista Cooley and Kyle, Will Stewart and Alis, J.B. McCartor and Tabitha, Marc McCartor; seven great grandchildren Nikole Cooley, Luchon and Toy Stewart, Hallie, Landon and Rhett McCartor and Mackenzie McCartor; one niece, three nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
His wishes were to be cremated and the ashes buried in the family plot in the Shattuck Cemetery in a private ceremony.
