Obituary

James Gerson Mabry was born May 13, 1943 in Gaines County, Texas; near Seagraves. Jim was born to Jesse H. Mabry, Sr. and Annie Ruth (Cole) Mabry. Jim passed from this life on August 4, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Jim was 70 years of age at the time of his death.

Jim grew up in Midland, Texas, attending Midland Public Schools, graduating with the Class of 1961. Jim continued his education at Odessa Junior College and The University of Texas. Jim married Maria Ines Garcia in 1967. The couple made their home in Midland, Texas; Denver, Colorado; and Amarillo, Texas. One son, Victor blessed this union.

In 1978 Jim moved to Arnett, Oklahoma and in 1981 married Barbara Sue Inselman. Three sons joined Jim's life, J R, Mike and Rudy Inselman. He treated them as his own. The family made their home south of Arnett near Packsaddle.

Jim spent his career in the Oil and Gas Industry. He worked as a Drilling Consultant. In 1958 while attending school, Jim worked for Ralph Lowe Drilling Company as a roughneck, driller and tool pusher. In 1969 he went to work for Amerada Hess Corporation out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He became a Drilling Supervisor and Superintendent until 1979. Jim then became an Independent Drilling Consultant in Western Texas, Louisiana and the Rocky Mountains.

Jim's interests were Texas football and Arnett Youth Baseball. He spent many hours and funds supporting the Arnett Baseball program.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Annie Mabry, brother Oscar Mabry and son Rudy Inselman. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Mabry of the home; sons Victor Mabry and wife Stacy of Cape Coral, Florida; J R Inselman and wife Tena of Holdenville, Oklahoma; and Mike Inselman and wife Ashley of Perkins, Oklahoma; brother Jesse Mabry, Jr. of Odessa, Texas; granddaughters Logan, Macy, Allyson, Josey and Bristol Inselman and Sofia Mabry; grandsons Layne and Cooper Inselman; nephew Scott Mabry; niece Megan Hughes; great-nieces Stephanie, Victoria, Nicole and Toni; great- nephews Bryan and Brandon; aunts, cousins, other family members and a host of friends.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday August 10, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Arnett High School Baseball Field, Arnett, Oklahoma
