On December 18, 1949, James 'Jimmie' and Pauline (Trimble) Jones welcomed their baby boy, James Tignal Jones III into their Oklahoma City home. When Little Jimmy started kindergarten at Sequoyah Elementary, his mother knew that her "special" boy was going to need her to be an active part in his education. Little Jimmy attended Linwood Place School throughout his elementary years, Taft Junior High School, and then completed his educational quest at Northwest Classen High School. Jimmy then made a courageous move to an adult residential home in Texas. In 1983, his mom and dad wanted him closer, so he moved to Green Acres Residential Care in Tahlequah, Ok. There he attended "the clubhouse" daily where he could have a job to earn extra spending money, take day-trips, go on shopping adventures, or just hang out with friends in the game room. In 1999, Jimmy lost his father and then his mother in 2009. When glaucoma took Jimmy's sight, he moved to the Vici Nursing Home, to be closer to his cousins. Easily, Jimmy built another huge circle of friends. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, James T and Pauline Jones, Jr., an uncle Glenn W Trimble Jr. and wife Mildred. He is survived by his cousins David Trimble and wife Jan of Vici, Lorri Dennett of Oklahoma City, and a second cousin Marsha VanPool Clark of Oklahoma City, nieces and nephews, and a huge web of caregivers and friends.
