Jason Scott Tibbett, born April 2, 1973, in Bensonhurst, New York, to Kenneth and Georgia Tibbett, passed away surrounded by the love of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Tibbett, and his mother, Georgia Tibbett.
Jason spent most of his school years attending North Miami Beach schools and graduated from Yale High School in 1992. Throughout his life, he carried with him the friendships, lessons, and memories from those formative years.
A skilled carpenter and talented caterer, Jason took great pride in working with his hands and providing for his family. Whether building something from the ground up or preparing a meal to bring people together, he found joy in creating and serving others. He loved staying busy and was happiest when in motion. Jason had a deep appreciation for music, enjoyed cooking, and had a strong interest in firearms. Above all, he valued time spent with family and friends.
Jason was first married to Beth Poole, and from that union he welcomed two children, Morgan Tibbett and Mason Tibbett. On August 4, 2003, he married Cristal Woods in Mayfield, Kentucky. Together they built a life filled with love and family. They lived in North Miami, Florida, from 2003 to 2013 before moving to Arnett, Oklahoma, where they remained until his passing. During his marriage to Cristal, they welcomed two more sons, Dakoda Tibbett and Brayden Tibbett.
Jason was known as a man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Dependable, generous, and steadfast, he was someone family and friends could always count on. His presence brought strength and comfort to those around him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cristal (Woods) Tibbett; his children, Morgan Tibbett, Mason Tibbett, Dakoda Tibbett, and Brayden Tibbett; his daughters, Carisaa Nichols and Katie Smith; his brother, Daniel Tibbett; seven cherished grandchildren; and two surviving nephews. His legacy of hard work, generosity, and devotion to family will live on through each of them.
Jason’s life was marked by love, resilience, and an unwavering willingness to help others. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
