Obituary

Junior Tilton Broadbent, 89 year old resident of Reagan, TN died Friday February 24, 2017, peacefully at his home. He was born December 3, 1927, near Moorewood, OK to Russell and Florence (Tilton) Broadbent. Jay, as he was known later in life, grew up west of Leedey, graduating from Liberty Center in 1946. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean War. In 1957, he graduated from Southwestern State College, Weatherford, OK, with a degree in physics. He worked as a computer programmer until retiring in 1993.
Survivors include his wife Patricia (Rhodes) Broadbent; children Joy Pierce, Beth (Kenny) Bailey, Heather Broadbent (Russell Swope), Shannon (Drake) Woodring, David Mosavat,
Scott (Stacy) Carpenter, Rachel (Joseph) Meads, Jesse (Karri) Carpenter and Becky Carpenter; sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; brother Billy Broadbent; sisters Ruby Martin and Ruthe Kendall, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers Elmer and Howard Broadbent; great-grandson Henry Bailey and nephew Ray Broadbent.

Memorials may be made to the New Hermon Cemetery.

Services will be held Monday, March 6, 2017 at the New Hermon Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
