Jeffrey Donald Smith, of Leedey, Oklahoma, passed away at his home on March 17, 2026, at the age of 65.
Jeffrey was born on May 1, 1960, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Bill and Eleanore (Griffin) Smith. During his younger years, he lived in Kansas, Iowa, and Leedey, where he ultimately made his home. He attended Leedey Public Schools and graduated from Leedey High School, later continuing his education with some college coursework.
On September 13, 1985, Jeffrey married the love of his life, Tina Heath, in Leedey, Oklahoma. To this union, three children were born: Anthony James, Michael Kaine, and Kristen Nicole. Throughout the years, Jeffrey and his family lived in several communities including Leedey, Shattuck, Buffalo, Ozark, Missouri, and Broken Arrow, before settling back in Leedey.
Jeffrey worked for many years as a Cable Television Operations Manager. He was a faithful member of the Leedey Methodist Church, where he also served for a time on the financial board. He enjoyed spending his free time fishing and was especially passionate about bass fishing. He was a member of Bass Pro and rarely missed an opportunity to watch and support Leedey sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Eleanore Smith; his grandparents, Clarence and Ora Pearl Smith and Leo and Dorothy Griffin; as well as several aunts and uncles.
Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife, Tina Smith of Leedey, Oklahoma; his children, AJ Smith of Illinois, Michael Smith and fiancée Jess of Leedey, Oklahoma, and Kristen Smith and boyfriend Kyler of Leedey, Oklahoma; his brothers, Eric Smith and wife Stephanie of Norman, Oklahoma, and David Smith and wife Candice of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three grandchildren Jozlynn and Colt Smith and Kinsley Swanson; two aunts, Linda Chatton and husband Tim of California, and Patty Henderson of Edmond, Oklahoma; two nieces, Mackenzie and Megan; two nephews, Hunter and Kevin; along with other relatives and a host of friends who will cherish his memory.
The family would like to give a thank you to Traditions / VitalCaring Staff for their care and compassion they gave to Jeffrey. Special thanks to especially Megan. Shaina. You guys were amazing with him in his final fight.
