Jerome Quentin Thomas, a beloved resident of Fargo, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on August 22, 1948, in Atlanta, Georgia, Jerome brought immense joy to his parents, Charles D. and Mary Lee (Ross) Thomas, who welcomed him with open hearts. He spent his early years in the West Village Community, Illinois, where he attended Bone Gap Junior High and later Edwards County High School. Following high school, Jerome pursued his studies at Atlanta Christian College, obtaining a bachelor degree in ministry, nurturing his lifelong devotion to faith and service.
Jerome was blessed with two daughters Beth and Crystal. On January 19, 2013, Jerome married Coleen Gingrinch at St. Paul Congregational Church in Shattuck, Oklahoma. Together, they built a loving family and he welcomed three children, one son, Mark, and two daughters, Laura and Danna. Jerome and Coleen established their home in Fargo, Oklahoma, where they enjoyed a fulfilling life of family, faith, and community involvement.
Jerome was baptized by his father at the West Village Christian Church, marking the start of his journey in ministry and dedication to youth and faith development. For over a decade, he served in various roles in the church, eventually joining the Located Ministry. After relocating to Shattuck, he became a committed member and the pastor of St. Paul Congregational Church. Jerome's ministry was marked by his genuine love for people, and he found joy in leading his congregation and participating in numerous church activities.
An enthusiast of antique radios, music, and guitars, Jerome's hobbies reflected his deep appreciation for history and the arts. He served as the president of the Heartland Antique Radio Club and contributed to his community as the Mayor of Fargo, where he worked tirelessly to make Fargo a warm and vibrant place to live.
Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Lee Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Coleen Thomas of Fargo, Oklahoma; daughter Beth Skaret and her husband Kevin of Barnesville, Minnesota and their children Faith, Micah and Abby; daughter Crystal Walton and her husband Dave of Chesapeake, Virginia and their children Ryder and Cody; daughter Laura DonCarlos and husband Bryan of Woodward, Oklahoma and their children Mikey and wife Jessica and Amber; son Mark Bowen of Fargo, Oklahoma and his children Meagan and husband Kellin, Hailey and husband Bo and Hannah; daughter Danna Farley and husband Kevin of Mustang, Oklahoma and their children Blake and wife Taylor, Abigail and husband Aidan and Peyton; 12 great grandchildren; brother Nolan Thomas and wife Pam DiVito-Thomas of Mackinaw, IL; many nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.

Jerome's life will be remembered as a testament to faith, love, and service. He leaves behind a legacy cherished by his family, friends, and all who were touched by his kindness.
