James Carroll 'Jim' Borden, son of James C. Borden and Ruth Ione (Maulsby) Borden was born May 14, 1944 in Mooreland OK.  He completed his earthly journey November 23, 2021 at the age of 77 years, 6 months and 9 days of age in Oklahoma City, OK.  He was baptized at the Mutual Methodist church at an early age and lived on the family farm near Mutual, OK. until his family moved to Woodward, OK. when he was six. His school days began at Horace Mann elementary school in Woodward and he graduated from Woodward High School in 1962.  Following graduation he attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK, returning to Taloga on the weekends to help his Dad on the farm.  On September 5,1964 at Elk City, OK. Jim was united in marriage to Joann Kay Bright.  The newlyweds established their first home in Weatherford and Jim completed his college education in 1966 receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education.  Vici, OK. then became their home where they were blessed with three children, Tracy James, Rene' Elise and Marisa Ann. They lived on the farm north of town where Jim farmed and raised cattle before moving into town in the year 2000.   Jim's special interests included fishing, attending auctions and buying cars.  He could be found daily and will be greatly missed at the Vici Café catching up on the news with the guys at the 'liars table'.  He always enjoyed a good joke, a fine cigar, time spent with his family and visiting.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruth Borden, his stepmother, Pauline Borden, his sisters, Deanna Allen and Linda Starbuck and infant twin brother and sister, Donald and Darlene Borden, stepsister, Donna Thomsen and other loved ones.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joann Borden of Vici, OK., his children, Tracy Borden and wife Darla of Vici, OK., Rene'Nix and husband Shawn of Vici, OK. and Marisa Cole and husband Chris of Vici, OK.  Ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren, his half brother, Gary Borden, half sisters, Deborah Keeton and Brenda Irwin and step brother Ronald Cox, other relatives and many friends.
