Jo Cele Allen Boone, passed from this life peacefully at her home in Vici, OK. on May 26, 2021 at the age of sixty-one years. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She was born in Woodward, OK. on August 26, 1959.  She was the youngest of three redheads born to Dale Leo Allen and Ada Mahala Wilcox Allen and her arrival was welcomed by her older sisters, Loretta and Dana.

Jo grew up in the Vici community and attended Vici Public Schools from kindergarten thru high school. She was a cheerleader and participated in band and choir during her school years.  She was a member of the graduating class of 1977.  Following high school she lived in Woodward, OK. where she met a young construction worker from California, Roger Dale Boone.  They were united in marriage on December 6, 1982 while residing in Oklahoma City, OK.  Jo and Roger returned back to Vici soon after Michael was born and within a few years after returning back to Vici they were blessed with a daughter, Kelsey. When Michael and Kelsey were younger, Jo operated a home daycare and was a babysitter for a number of other children in the community.  Those children, now adults, have many fond memories of those days, fun in the backyard and great snacks!

Jo loved animals, especially dogs, and she was a member of the American Kennel Club.  She raised dogs, helped with numerous kennels and worked at the Vet Clinic.  She enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling around the U.S. on motorcycle rides with Roger.  She took pride in being a homemaker and she was a member of the Vici United Methodist Church. Jo loved her family and her grandkids were her world, spending time with them was always very special to her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Ada Allen, infant brothers, Billy and Tommy Allen and her special Grandma, Florence Cawley.  Her father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Katie Boone, brother-in-law, Joe Longhofer, and a sister-in-law, Linda Davis.

Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Roger Boone of Vici, OK, her son, Michael Boone and his wife, Shannon of Edmond, OK., and her daughter Kelsey Evans and her husband, Buddy of Woodward, OK, four beloved grandchildren, Caroline and Margaret Boone of Edmond, OK and Cooper and Ashlyn Evans of Woodward, OK., her sisters, Loretta Longhofer of Vici, OK. and Dana Patkowski and her husband Mick of San Antonio, TX., nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
