Georgia "Joan" Calkins, 89 year old resident of Taloga, OK, passed from this life on September 10, 2021 in Weatherford, OK.  Joan was born July 3, 1932 to Raymond W. and Rosa (Hand) Fuqua in Seiling, OK.  She attended and graduated from Seiling public schools.  On April 14, 1951, Joan married Clifford Robert Calkins and to this union four children were born Lennet, Raymond, Kathy, and Dewanna.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing cards and attending all the grandchildren's sporting events.  She was a member of the Lenora United Methodist Church located in Lenora, OK.  Joan was a member of the United Methodist Women and participated in all the church activities.

Joan is preceded in death by her husband Clifford Calkins, parents Raymond and Rosa Fuqua, three brothers Doyle Fuqua, Norman Fuqua, and Gary Fuqua, sister Gwendolyn Black, and grandson Kelby Mercer.

She is survived by her children Lennet Pisacka and husband Kevin of Taloga, OK, Raymond Calkins of Taloga, OK, Kathy Mercer and husband Steve of Thomas, OK, and Dewanna Mercer and husband Mark of Checotah, OK; three brothers Russell Fuqua and wife Sherry of Seiling, OK, Lael Fuqua and wife Karen of Bethany, OK, and Keith Fuqua of Canton, OK; granddaughters Jennifer Hartman, Lindsey Schreck, Sheena Calkins, Kelsie Petree, Kaci Miller, Chasta Butler, and McKayla Mercer; grandson Matt Mercer; thirteen great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host friends.
