Obituary

Joe Hale Flowers was born October 25, 1931, in Perryton, Texas to Gilman and Lois Flowers and passed away June 2, 2011, at his home in Gage, Oklahoma. He attended a one-room school house south of Perryton, Texas. He later moved to Canadian, Texas and graduated in 1949. He attended college at Wentworth Military Academy and was called to serve his country for two and one/half years in Germany.

In 1952 Joe married Sammie Krehbiel in Canadian, Texas. They moved to Gage, Oklahoma on July 4, 1955, and have lived and worked on their ranch along Wolf Creek for the past fifty-five years.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Gilman and Lois Flowers, sister, Sandra Green and brother, Wayne Flowers.

He is survived by his loving wife , Sammie, of the home; two daughters, Debra Brock and husband Terry of Enid, Oklahoma and Denise Miller and husband Kent of Gage, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Abby and Casey; Weston, Wade and Danielle and Trent; three great-grandchildren, two step-grandaughters, Bekah and husband Daniel and Kara and husband Peter; five sisters, Frances Newell of Canadian, Texas, Zella Meeks and husband Bob of Richardson, Texas, Pat Schaef and husband Larry of Boswell, Oklahoma, Vickie Bolin and husband Bob of Chandler, Texas and Dixie Cook and husband George of Canadian, Texas; one brother, Roy Flowers and husband Ann of Spearman, Texas; other family and many friends.
