Johnie Lee McNeal, 65, died September 25, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma.
She was born February 22, 1942 on the family farm near Harmon, Oklahoma to John Edward Molloy and Rose Blanche Fletcher Richey Molloy. She graduated from Arnett High School, Arnett, Oklahoma in 1960.
She married Milford Levi (Mac) McNeal on March 11, 1965 at Arnett. During the course of their marriage they lived in Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma City, Norman, and northwest Oklahoma before finally settling down in Mutual, Oklahoma to raise their 3 children.
Johnie worked as a hospital nurse in Woodward, Oklahoma, in Colorado, and at Norman Regional Hospital but became a fulltime housewife and mother till the death of her beloved husband Mac on November 3, 1977. She then went to work for the Sharon-Mutual Schools, until 1986, while continuing to raise her kids and take care of family and friends. She was "Mom" to everyone. She later went to work for the Mooreland Nursing Home in Mooreland, Oklahoma and remained there for many years.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Mutual and was always ready to help out at church with anything from Christmas candy to visiting or helping out friends and family. In her spare time she enjoyed her children and grandchildren, pets, and doing a variety of crafts.
Johnie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rose Molloy; by husband, Mac McNeal; by sisters, Doniece Costello and Hazel May Molloy; by brothers, Carlos Richey, Ivanhoe Richey, and Andy Molloy; by a grandson and a great-grandson.
She is survived by daughter, Kathy Cook and husband Joe of Hobart, Oklahoma; by sons, John McNeal and wife Michelle of Norman, Oklahoma and Comer McNeal and wife Britt of Buffalo, Oklahoma; by brother-in-law, Buck McNeal of Harmon, Oklahoma; by sisters-in-law, Harriet Wofford of Norman and Ruth Molloy of Shattuck, Oklahoma; by six granddaughters, one grandson, one great-granddaughter and a host of relatives and friends and "her kids".
