Johnny Lee Jennings was born February 23, 1944 to Edward Leon and Juanita Edith (Wainwright) Jennings in Stillwell, OK.  He grew up in the Stillwell community and attended grade school in Stillwell and junior high school in Tahlequah, OK.  On December 22, 1960, at the age of 16, he was baptized into the Church of the Firstborn by Brother George Sweet at Welling OK.

At Stillwell, OK. on May 6, 1961 Johnny married Ginger Hiawatha McHolland after only one week of dating. They were married for over sixty years. They made their first home in Welling, OK. before moving to the Tulsa area until 1977.   They returned to Cherokee County and in March of 2021 they moved to Vici, OK.  With this union six sons were born, Johnny Don, Darreld, Mike, Danny, Steve and Joey.

Johnny worked as a carpenter for many years and retired from Tahlequah Lumber after thirty years of service.  He enjoyed fishing, he was an OU fan and loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Johnny went to live with the Lord on March 26, 2022 at the age of 78.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Delmar Jennings, Rick Jennings and Garry Jennings. Two sons, Danny Jennings and Darreld Jennings, one granddaughter, Brandy Medialdea and other loved ones.

Johnny leaves behind his wife Ginger of the home, his children Johnny Don and wife Becky Jennings of Vici, OK., Mike Jennings of Tahlequah, OK., Steve Jennings of Vici, OK., Joey and wife Shari Jennings of Vici, OK.  Eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. His brothers, Dwayne and wife Carol Jennings of Stillwell, OK., James Jennings of Welling, OK., Keith and wife Sue Jennings of Newport News, VA. and one sister, Sue and husband Ray Ward of Park Hill, OK., many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
