Johnny Dean Shipman, 67 year old resident of Arnett, OK, passed from this life on August 31, 2018.  Johnny was born June 20, 1951 to Ila Lorene Bible and John Ira Shipman in Seminole, TX.  He attended grade school in Seminole, TX and graduated high school at the boys ranch in Amarillo, TX.  Johnny served in the Marine Corps. From 1972-1973.

On March 31, 1983, Johnny married Linda Fay Diller in Canadian, TX.  They lived in New Mexico, West Virginia, Balko, OK, and Arnett, OK.  Johnny worked in the oil field most of his life.  While living in West Virginia, he trimmed trees along highline wires.

Johnny enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars, and listening to music.  He was a very hardworking man, who loved his family.  He will be greatly missed.

Johnny is preceded in death by parents Ila Bible and John Shipman, son Johnny Dean, sister Sue Leonard, and grandson Alan Shipman.

He is survived by his wife Linda Shipman; children Cary Wayne, Christina Ann, Ila Jewel, Jason Charles, Nicole Michelle, and Timothy Wayne; sisters Synthia Henson, Patricia Tomson, Dianna Proctor, fourteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.
