Joyce Faye Bailey, and her twin brother Jackie Ray, were born April 16, 1931 in Bessie, Oklahoma to Thomas A. and Ollie (Sims) Peck. She went to be with her Lord on April 3, 2012 at the age of 80 years, 11 months and 18 days.

The family lived for a short time in the Putnam area before moving to the Leedey area. Joyce attended her first year of school at Friendship, east of Leedey. The family then moved to town and she finished her education, graduating from Leedey High School with the Class of 1949.

On July 30, 1950 Joyce married W.D. "Frog" Bailey. They soon welcomed the birth of their two sons, Jimmy and Kenny. Joyce and Frog made their home in Leedey until 2009 when they made the move to Clinton due to Frog's health.

Joyce had several part-time jobs throughout her life including Bookkeeper for the Leedey Lumberyard, Beautician for Shaw Funeral Home, and snapping cotton with her Mom and sister Helen. She was quoted as saying "I have been privileged to stay with the same job of Domestic Engineer". Her family attests that she took her engineering job very seriously! Joyce enjoyed many hobbies such as sewing, cooking and watching the birds and their antics at her backyard feeders.

She was a great grandma and always had soda pops or ice cream floats waiting for the grandkids when they came to visit. She sewed many a dress or outfit for them as well. She loved backyard picnics with the grandkids taking turns sitting on the ice cream maker while Frog turned the crank. In later years Joyce and Frog enjoyed RVing with their many good friends from the Leedey area.

At an early age, Joyce accepted Jesus as her Savior. She was a faithful and active member of the Leedey First Baptist Church. She went on several church building mission trips as well as taught Sunday school.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Frog; parents, Thomas and Ollie Peck; sisters, Evelyn Davidson and Neta Westover; brothers, Floyd, Buddy, Esten, Claude, Bob and Jack Peck. She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Bailey and wife Donna of Arapaho, Oklahoma and Kenny Bailey and wife Beth of Leedey, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Leslie Giblet and husband Jason, Jeff Bailey and wife Minta, all of Clinton, Oklahoma, Carol Harrison and husband John of Abilene, Texas, Jacob Bailey and wife Kristen of Edmond, Oklahoma and Shelby Bailey of Taloga, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Baleigh, Reese, Luke, Levi and Lynlee; sister, Helen Graybill of Altamont, Kansas; brother, Jim Peck and wife Linda of Edmond, Oklahoma; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a lifetime of friends.
