Juanita Ruth Utt's Obituary

Juanita Ruth (Rauh) Utt was born in Shattuck, Oklahoma on April 16, 1927 to Carl and Rachel (Link) Rauh. She passed from this life on November 16, 2011 in Arlington, Texas at the age of 84.

Juanita grew up in Shattuck, Oklahoma where she attended school through part of her high school years before moving to Alva, Oklahoma where she graduated high school with the Class of 1945. She then went on to attend Northwestern State College in Alva before transferring to Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska where she received her teaching certificate.

Juanita was united in marriage to Max Ernest Utt on February 5, 1950 in Shattuck, Oklahoma. This union was blessed with three children, Darrel, Sharon and Duane. In addition to Shattuck, the family also lived in Canadian, Texas, Amarillo, Texas and Arlington, Texas.

Juanita was baptized in 1941 and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Arlington, Texas. She was active in Dorcas, as a Childrens Sabbath School Teacher and Head Deaconess. She received recognition from the Amarillo, Texas Seventh Day Adventist Church for her community service.

Juanita spent her life taking care of others through her community service. Her greatest joy came from taking care of her family and just spending time with them. She also was an avid walker.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Max Utt, parents, Carl and Rachel Rauh, brother, Louis Rauh and sisters, Annabelle Orman and Letha Meyers.

Those left to cherish her memory are son, Darrel Utt and wife Joyce of Binghampton, New York; daughter, Sharon Solomon and husband Monroe of Arlington, Texas and son, Duane Utt and wife Julie of Arlington, Texas; granddaughters, Amanda Perry and husband Joe of Colton, California and Christi Goos and husband Jordan of Waxahachie, Texas; grandsons, Monroe Solomon III and wife Pam of Phoenix, Arizona and Brandon Utt and wife Tasha of Arlington, Texas; sister, Betty Bruce of Lincoln, Nebraska; four great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
