Obituary

Judith Ann (Tyler) Chesnut was born on February 1, 1948 at Chanute, Kansas to Charles L. and Geneva L. (Boyd) Tyler. Judy passed away at her home in Fargo after a short battle with cancer on April 24, 2009 at the age of 61 years, 2 months, and 23 days.

Judy attended grade school at Chanute, Kansas and graduated from Arnett High School with the class of 1966. She continued her college education at Alva and Weatherford.

Judy was united in marriage to Steve Chesnut on January 26, 1968 at the United Methodist Church at Arnett, Oklahoma. To this union two sons were born Christopher Wade and Spencer Clay.

Judy and Steve lived in Germany; Woodward, Oklahoma; Colorado; McCloud, Oklahoma; and the last 15 years at Fargo, Oklahoma. Judy worked many years as a legal secretary and recently was working at the Woodward Tag Agency.

Judy was baptized at the age of 41 with her two sons at McCloud, Oklahoma. She currently was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Fargo, Oklahoma where she enjoyed her Sunday school class, singing in the church choir and various church activities. Judy loved to read, garden and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son Christopher Wade Chesnut (1-21-89), her father Charles Tyler, her mother-in-law Nita Chesnut, and father-in-law Wendall Chesnut.

Judy is survived by her husband Steve of the home, her son Spencer Chesnut and wife Lisa and their sons Christopher and Stephen of Mustang, Oklahoma; her mother Geneva (Tyler) Clem of Arnett, Oklahoma; her sisters Lynda White and husband Wayne of Yukon, Oklahoma; Charlene Knowles and husband Kenny of Arnett, Oklahoma; brother-in-laws Craig Chesnut and wife Sharon of Guymon, Oklahoma; Joe Doug Chesnut of Houston, Texas; one niece, six nephews, numerous other family and many, many friends.
