Karen Sue Shelton, daughter of Joe Warren Shelton, Sr. and Anne Claire (Campbel) Shelton was born in Shattuck, OK. on April 20, 1948.  She passed from this life at her home south of Arnett, OK. on October 29, 2022 at the age of 74 years, 6 months and 9 days.  Her early years were spent in the Arnett community before her family relocated to Borger, TX. where she attended high school. In the mid 70's Karen lived in Killona Louisiana where she was a union member while being employed in the construction of the Waterford 3 Nuclear Generating Station in St. Charles Parrish.  She later resided in New Jersey before returning to Borger, TX. and then to her rural residence near Arnett where she was a homemaker and a devoted mother to her son, Christopher Czaplinski.  She worked at the Thrift Shop in Arnett and she enjoyed reading and listening to Guns and Roses music.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Ann Shelton and the father of her son, Gregory Robert Czaplinski.

Karen is survived by her son Christopher of Arnett, OK., her brother Joe Shelton and sister Pat Shelton both of CA., her nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
