Kathie Renee Clark was born on June 3, 1953 at Shattuck, Oklahoma to Emeral J. and Etta Rae Kellner Clark. She passed from this life on April 16, 2011 in Woodward, Oklahoma after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

Kathie attended school in Anthony, Kansas, Helena, Oklahoma and Arnett, Oklahoma. She graduated from Arnett High School with the class of 1971. While attending school Kathie was chosen to attend Girls-State and also received several vocal music awards. One of Kathie's favorite childhood activities was getting to travel with her father during horse racing events. Kathie loved to take care of the horses.

After graduating from high school, Kathie was employed by Newman Memorial Hospital in Shattuck, Oklahoma. She served in house keeping, food service and surgical instrument sterilization. Kathie also enjoyed being employed by the Arnett Sr. Citizens for a few years. However, Kathie found her place when she applied for and received her job with Arnett Public Schools. Kathie was a proud and dedicated employee of the school for the past 20 years. She made many friends over the years with faculty and students. Kathie always had a smile on her face and a positive outlook on life. Faculty and students alike were always guaranteed a smile from Kathie to help lighten their day.

Kathie enjoyed spending time in her garden, raising chickens, tending to her dogs and cats. However, she found her greatest joy being around young people.

Kathie was a member of the Helena First Baptist Church. She attended the First Baptist Church of Arnett where she was baptized as a young girl.

Kathie was preceded in death by her father, Emeral J. Clark, brother, Rocky Clark, niece, Dacie Clark and sister-in-law, Nikki Clark. She is survived by her mother, Etta Rae Clark of Arnett, Oklahoma, brother, Ricky Clark of Canute, Oklahoma, nephews, Joby and Adam Clark, great nephew, Zanston Clark and great niece, Brooklyn Clark, other relatives and many dear friends.
