Kaydance Mae Goodman was born on May 16, 2009 in Shattuck, Oklahoma. She lived in Shattuck for a time, before moving with her parents, Bryan and Dalanie, to Fargo, Oklahoma where she attended kindergarten. After finishing kindergarten, Kaydance moved to Vici, Oklahoma where she attended Vici Public Schools for the 1 st and 2 nd grade. Upon finishing the 2 nd grade, Kaydance moved for a short time to Fort Smith, Arkansas, before returning to Mooreland, Oklahoma, where she would attend the 3 rd through 5 th grade.
Kaydance was quite active and enjoyed the variety of sports that were on offer at any given time. Whether it was softball, soccer, flag football, basketball, track, or even mixed martial arts, Kaydance was sure to compete. Some accomplishments that she was proud of included being a member of the 3 rd and 4 th Grade Flag Tournament Team where they were the runner-ups and being involved with Kids Inc 13 and Under teams where her teams scored 2 nd place in league and tournament softball, and 1 st place in soccer.
Kaydance was a member of the Steelers Flag Football, Chiefs Flag Football, Awesome Oppossums Softball, Lady Bearcat Basketball, Lady Bearcat Track Team, Mixed Martial Arts, Kids Inc. Soccer, Kids Inc. Softball, and the Mooreland Mini Cheer. She was a part of DARE, she was Empathy Student of the Month, Friendship Student of the Month, RYSE MMA Student of the Month, Most Improved Award in RYSE MMA, and attained a white and yellow belt in MMA. While on the 10 and under softball league, she and the rest of the team were league runner-ups. She and the rest of the 5 th /6 th Grade flag football team were League Champions and Tournament runners-ups.
On September 27, 2020, Kaydance came forward to be baptized at the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church. She participated in the Sunday School, kids small group, and the team kids.
Amongst all these activities, Kaydance will be remembered most of all for being a good friend to many and for helping others, and for being a joy in both her family and classmates' lives.
On April 13, 2021, Kaydance passed from this life in Mooreland, Oklahoma.
Kaydance is survived by her parents, Bryan and Dalanie Goodman of the home; little sister Willow Goodman of the home; grandparents Reine and Coletta Goodman of Vici, Oklahoma; grandparents Roger and Cathy Evans of Alexandria, Arkansas; grandparents James and Rhonda Ridge; great-grandma Pulley; great-grandma Barbara Bailey of Vici; great-grandparents Tommy and Juanita Wilson of Alexandria, Arkansas; aunt Ashley Boswell and husband Brian of Vici; uncle Cole Goodman of Vici; and many cousins, friends, teachers, and loved ones that will cherish her memory.
Kaydance is preceded in death by great-grandpa Pulley; great-grandparents Allison; great-grandparents Wayne and Delphene Coleman; and great-granddad Jerry Bailey.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 20, at 2:30 PM at the Mooreland High School Gym. Burial will follow at Mooreland Cemetery. Visitation will be available at Shaw Funeral Home of Vici on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
